The state of New Mexico will soon grant $170 million in federal aid to New Mexicans who have been unable to stay current on their rent and/or utility bills due to a COVID-19-related hardship.
The application period begins this Monday, April 5 and will end April 31.
Applicants may receive up to 15 months of rental or utility assistance depending on their situation. Priority will be placed on those with past-due rent or utility bills who have an outstanding balance with their landlord or their utility provider.
